Michael Weatherly & Steve McQueen: Kings of Cool

In the NCIS episode "SWAK," Tony lauds John Travolta as the "King of Cool" but c'mon -- that's a writing goof, obviously. Any Steve McQueen freak of DiNozzo's ilk knows that the King of Cool is McQueen. (Note to Michael Weatherly, himself among the world's biggest McQueen fans: Dude, seriously? You knew that, too. Shouldn't you have said "Hold it! Get me rewrite!" Just kidding. Kind of.)

So between Michael Weatherly, the huge McQueen fan, and the late, great Steve McQueen himself, who would rule the Kings of Cool pool? Michael, with his lady-killer smile, many lovely girlfriends, acting ventures, love  of music, quick wit and intelligence? Or the man himself, McQueen, who set the standard with his lady-killer smile, many lovely girlfriends, acting ventures, love of music, quick wit and intelligence and car and motorcycle racing? Because both are equally handsome, let's contrast and compare to determine who's King of Cool. (Continued...)

More Than Words: Pairing of Tony DiNozzo and Tim McGee

First off, this was written as a big "THANK YOU" to the actors Michael Weatherly and Sean Murray for taking the scenes they are given and performing them with humor and respect, without any persecution.  Now, onto the fun!

I know many of you fans of the show are BIG followers of the Tony/Ziva romantic linking.  On, the other hand, there are many of you, like me, who crave for more attention to be placed on the McGee/Abby pairing.  But, after I read a fellow author's blog on the "DiNozzo-isms" that pepper this brilliant show, I quickly recalled many of my OWN favorite quotes, which seemed, mostly, to involve Tony and Tim in a "more-than-friends" capacity! Being a fanfiction writer, I have never created a situation in which these two characters are in love with each other, but I do admit to reading other people's creations which are quite thought-provoking. I thought, in light of Gay Pride Month, I'd share some of my favorite gay-themed moments from "NCIS"!

A Disenchanted Fan — Weatherly & Perrette NOT on Twitter!

Well, our fearless leader John asked for it, and this is my response to the notorious scam on Twitter into which we have all been sucked.  I haven't been on Twitter that long when I began hearing that many of my favorite celebrities were "tweeting".  I thought, "Finally, here is my chance to say the things that I've wanted to tell them for so long!"  I knew that they may not respond, but the point was that they would read it and, at least, know I exist.

To hear that two actors from one of my favorite shows were being impersonated vexed me greatly.  Not so much at first, but after I thought about all of us that wrote them comments admiring them and their work, I got more and more angry.  The kicker was watching Pauley Perrette's video this morning and hearing about all the grief that these social networking websites put her through in order to deal with identity situations, such as these.  Her point that these sites should verify first and create a profile later seemed so simple, but obviously so missed in the eyes of the creators of these social networking sites.
