Leaving NCIS: Are Mark Harmon's 'NCIS' Days Numbered?

NCIS fans are still freaking out over exec producer Shane Brennan’s cryptic tease last week that Gibbs will be forced to make a “life-changing decision” this May “that will impact every member of the team.” In fact, the tantalizing spoiler left some wondering — crazy talk alert! — if Mark Harmon’s days are numbered.

“I don’t think [that's the case] but I don’t know for sure,” Harmon told us last night prior to the PaleyFest ‘10 event honoring NCIS. “I’m still having a blast doing the show. That hasn’t changed since Day 1. I have no plans to leave. I have a contract with significant more time on it. But that may not stop the producers from getting rid of me if they think that best serves the story or the show. But I have no plans to take myself out of the game.”

Looking Like Robert Wagner Has its Pluses for MW

How do you make TV’s No. 1 show even better?

Just add Robert “RJ” Wagner.

The star of “Hart to Hart” and “It Takes a Thief” returns to TV this week for the 150th episode of “NCIS” in which he plays agent Tony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) father, Anthony DiNozzo Sr.

It doesn’t take a casting-whiz to see why these actors are perfectly suited to play father and son: They look a heck of a lot alike.

“Isn’t that a nice compliment?” says Wagner, 79. “I see it a bit, I do, and my wife [Jill St. John] sees it a bit, too. I think it was kind of serendipitous.”

 ...I was living in a Chicago suburb raising my three boys when I got the call about being on the show.  It was a guest-starring arc that would be about six episodes. The role was of the new Director of the agency, and things were made complicated because she had a ´past’ with the lead agent, Jethro , played by Mark Harmon.

Getting the role

The funny thing was, I knew of the show from a couple of years before. Mark and I had spent a year together on  ”Chicago Hope,” and so became acquaintances from work. As I understood it, they were having some trouble casting the girl who would be one of the agents on the show and Mark thought I might fit the bill. He faxed me a lot of info on the real agency on which the show was based and helped facilitate a meeting between myself and the creator, Don Bellisario. That was an exciting meeting for me to have. He had been involved in some of the greatest television - “Rockford Files,” “Magnum PI,” etc. We had a great chat, and I tried to make him love me, but alas - he did not.

A Title and Summary for Upcoming NCIS Season 7 Episode 1

While production has taken over the work, the script of first episode of season 7 (61 pages) was distributed to all concerned. New sets were made during the summer break and will be used for this seventh season. Here's an exclusive summary of NCIS episode 7 x 01. (From Team-NCIS) 

Abstract: The Gibbs team is immersed in a drug case in the Navy. Two are dead in the morgue and a quarter-master is in critical condition. It would appear that the drug was ingested without their knowledge.

Gibbs' Rules — 50 Rules, But Only These Have Been Revealed

Leroy Jethro Gibbs has rules that he enforces with everyone on his team, in "Silver War" he told Ziva that there are approximately fifty rules. However, only a few rules have been revealed. Here are the rules that have been revealed so far:

Rule #1: Never let suspects stay together.

Rule #1: Never screw over your partner. 

Rule #2: Always wear gloves at a crime scene.

Rule #3: Don't believe what you're told. Double check.

More Than Words: Pairing of Tony DiNozzo and Tim McGee

First off, this was written as a big "THANK YOU" to the actors Michael Weatherly and Sean Murray for taking the scenes they are given and performing them with humor and respect, without any persecution.  Now, onto the fun!

I know many of you fans of the show are BIG followers of the Tony/Ziva romantic linking.  On, the other hand, there are many of you, like me, who crave for more attention to be placed on the McGee/Abby pairing.  But, after I read a fellow author's blog on the "DiNozzo-isms" that pepper this brilliant show, I quickly recalled many of my OWN favorite quotes, which seemed, mostly, to involve Tony and Tim in a "more-than-friends" capacity! Being a fanfiction writer, I have never created a situation in which these two characters are in love with each other, but I do admit to reading other people's creations which are quite thought-provoking. I thought, in light of Gay Pride Month, I'd share some of my favorite gay-themed moments from "NCIS"!
